Life insurance payments are typically categorized automatically based on the merchant name associated with the transaction. However, these may not always land in the category you expect.
If you’d like to ensure your life insurance payments are accurately tracked in your budget, you can update the category manually:

Find the transaction in your Transactions page

Click the dropdown arrow next to the category, or create a new custom category (e.g., Insurance, Life Insurance, etc.)

Select a your preferred category

Click Apply
Once you’ve updated the category, we’ll prompt you to create a rule for future transactions from that same merchant — that way, all similar payments will be categorized correctly going forward.
