When you connect your credit cards to Origin, your credit card payments will appear on your Transactions page and are automatically categorized based on the available merchant information.
How Origin handles credit card payments:

These payments are typically categorized as Transfers, not Expenses

This helps prevent double-counting — so you don’t see both the original purchase and the payment as spending

It keeps your spending totals accurate and your financial picture clear
If a payment is incorrectly categorized:

Find the transaction and click the dropdown arrow

Scroll to the bottom and select “Transfer”

Click Apply to save

Choose whether to apply this rule to future similar transactions
You can also edit other transaction details, including:

Merchant name

Category
-
Date

Add personal notes for better organization
Origin connects to your accounts securely using trusted data partners like Plaid, MX, and Finicity, all in read-only mode — so your information stays safe while you get valuable insights.
