No — the Spending Tracker in Origin does not count transfers as part of your income or expenses. Transfers are treated as a separate category to give you a more accurate financial picture.
Origin classifies all transactions into three primary types:
-
Income
-
Expense
-
Transfer (money moved between your own accounts)
Because transfers don’t reflect actual earnings or spending, they are excluded from your net income and budget calculations. This prevents inflated or misleading totals in your spending reports.
💡Tip: If you’re sending money to another account for a specific purpose (like rent), and you’d like it counted as an expense, you can manually edit the transaction and re-categorize it from “Transfer” to something like “Housing.”
