When Amazon orders are imported into Origin, we automatically attempt to match them with transactions from your connected financial accounts.
If an order isn't matched immediately, don't worry. There are several common reasons this can happen.
The Transaction Hasn't Posted Yet
One of the most common reasons is timing.
Amazon frequently waits until items ship before charging your card.
If your order was recently placed:
- Wait a few days
- Check back later
- Use the Match Again option if available
The Payment Account Isn't Connected
Origin can only match transactions from financial accounts that you've connected.
If you paid with:
- A credit card
- A checking account
- A debit card
Make sure that account is linked to Origin.
The Charge Amount Changed
Amazon orders don't always charge exactly what was shown at checkout.
Examples include:
- Split shipments
- Subscribe & Save adjustments
- Backordered items
- Partial cancellations
- Pricing changes
When the final charge differs from the original order total, matching may fail.
The Order Was Paid With Gift Cards or Rewards
Orders paid entirely with Amazon gift cards, rewards points or promotional credits do not create a bank transaction.
Since there is no financial transaction to match against, these orders will remain unmatched.
The Order Is Still Processing
Amazon may not finalize charges until an order has shipped.
Orders that have not yet been charged may remain in Matching status temporarily.
How to Retry Matching
If an order remains unmatched:
- Open the order.
- Tap Match Again.
- Allow Origin time to search for newly posted transactions.
