We’ve made improvements to both prevent transactions from disappearing and allow you full control to restore them if it happens.
Why transactions may disappear
In some cases, transaction providers (like Plaid, MX, or Mastercard) send updates that remove transactions.
This can happen when:
- A pending transaction updates to a posted version (normal behavior)
- A provider error temporarily removes a transaction
- A hold is released or adjusted by the financial institution
Previously, these removals could cause transactions to fully disappear from your view.
What’s changed
We’ve made two key improvements:
- Fewer missing transactions
- We now look back 30 days (instead of 14) when syncing data
- This helps automatically recover transactions if providers fix errors on their end
- This means posted transactions are no longer permanently deleted, they’re kept in a recoverable state
- You can now view and restore deleted transactions
- You now have full visibility and control:
- You can filter your transactions to see deleted items
- Deleted transactions are clearly labeled
- You can restore any deleted transaction with one tap
- You now have full visibility and control:
How to view deleted transactions
- Go to Spending → Transactions
- Open the Filters menu
- Select “Deleted” to view removed transactions
How to restore a transaction
- Find the deleted transaction in the filtered view
- Tap on the transaction
- Select Restore
- The transaction will immediately reappear in your account.
Notes
Some institutions may still send incorrect removal signals (for example, certain credit cards with known provider issues).
In those cases, you can always restore the transaction manually using the steps above.
These updates do not retroactively recover transactions deleted before this feature was released.
