ID Protection is an optional add-on to your Origin membership and is billed separately from your core Origin subscription.
When will I be charged?
You’ll be charged immediately when you select Agree and continue, using the payment method already on file for your Origin membership.
The exact amount you’ll be charged is displayed before you confirm your purchase.
There is currently no free trial.
Does ID Protection renew automatically?
Yes. ID Protection automatically renews annually until you cancel it.
Because ID Protection is a separate subscription, it has its own renewal date and can be canceled independently from your Origin membership.
How do I cancel ID Protection?
To cancel:
- Go to ID Protection settings.
- Select Cancel membership.
- Select Continue without protection to confirm.
After canceling, ID Protection won’t renew. Your existing benefits, including identity theft insurance, will remain active through the end of your current annual term.
Canceling ID Protection does not cancel your Origin membership.
Can I get a refund?
ID Protection fees are generally non-refundable.
If you believe you were charged by mistake or have a concern about a charge, contact Origin Support and we’ll review your request.
What happens if I cancel my Origin membership?
If your Origin membership ends while you still have an active ID Protection subscription, ID Protection won’t renew. Your benefits, including insurance, will continue until the end of your current ID Protection term.
Because ID Protection lives within the Origin app, you won’t be able to access it without an active Origin membership. If this happens, contact Origin Support.
