Weekly Recap – Origin

The Weekly Recap is a personalized, AI-generated summary of your financial activity from the past week. It highlights changes in your net worth, spending, cash flow, upcoming transactions, and investment performance in a swipeable, stories-style experience.

At the end of your recap, you can continue the conversation with Origin's AI assistant to learn more about the insights you've received.

What's Included in the Weekly Recap?

Your Weekly Recap may include:

Net Worth: A chart showing how your net worth changed over the past week.
Weekly Spending: A heatmap highlighting your spending activity by day.
Cash Flow: A summary of your income and expenses for the week.
Upcoming Transactions: A preview of upcoming bills and expected transactions.
Investment Performance: Performance of your portfolio and individual holdings.
Market Performance: Weekly performance of major market indexes, including the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and NASDAQ.

At the end of the recap, select Dive deeper to ask Origin's AI assistant follow-up questions about your finances.

Where Can I Find My Weekly Recap?

Look for the Weekly Recap card near the top of your dashboard.

Mobile

A card labeled Your weekly recap is ready will appear on your dashboard. Tap See Recap to open it.

How Do I Navigate the Weekly Recap?

The Weekly Recap uses a stories-style format.

On Desktop

Click the left or right arrows to move between pages.
You can also click the left or right side of the recap content area.

On Mobile

Tap the left side of the screen to go back.
Tap the right side of the screen to move forward.

A progress bar at the top of the screen shows your progress through the recap.

Dismissing a Recap

Select the X on the dashboard card to hide the recap for the rest of the week.

Once you've viewed all pages, the recap is marked as viewed. The card remains on your dashboard until you dismiss it or a new recap becomes available.

Managing Weekly Recap Notifications

To manage notifications for new Weekly Recaps:

Go to Settings
Select Notifications
Click the gear icon
Find AI Recaps
Toggle on/off

When enabled, you'll receive a notification when a new Weekly Recap is ready.

Why Don't I See My Weekly Recap?

If you don't see a Weekly Recap on your dashboard, it may be because:

Your account data is still syncing. Origin may still be collecting and processing the financial data needed to generate your recap.
You've dismissed the recap. If you selected the X on the recap card, it will remain hidden until the next week's recap becomes available.
You don't have any connected financial accounts. Weekly Recaps require at least one linked financial account to generate personalized insights.

To receive a Weekly Recap, you'll need at least one financial account connected to Origin and enough synced account activity for the week being summarized. If you've recently connected an account, it may take some time before your first recap is available.

When is the Weekly Recap available?

Each Weekly Recap covers your financial activity from Saturday through Friday. Your recap becomes available after your account data has fully synced for that week. Once it's ready, you'll see a card on your dashboard with the Weekly Recap label, the date range, and the AI sparkle icon.

Weekly Recaps refresh each week. When the next week's data is ready, a new recap will replace the previous one.

Can I view previous Weekly Recaps?

No. Only the most recent Weekly Recap is available. When a new recap is generated, it replaces the previous one.

Can I provide feedback on my recap?

Yes. Each page includes More like this and Less like this options. Your feedback helps improve future recaps and personalize the experience.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Weekly Recaps are generated using your personal financial data and are only visible to you. Origin protects your information using bank-level security and encryption.
