We’ve upgraded the Credit Score experience in Origin to provide a smoother enrollment process, richer insights, and more personalized guidance. Credit Score is now powered by Equifax, giving you access to downloadable credit reports, historical score tracking, and enhanced AI-powered recommendations.
Getting Started
If you’re using Credit Score for the first time, simply open the Credit Score widget in Origin and complete the quick identity verification process.
Already enrolled? Because we’ve upgraded our credit provider, you’ll need to complete a one-time re-enrollment to continue accessing your credit information. This process uses a soft inquiry and will not affect your credit score.
Credit Score History
You can now view your credit score history directly in Origin.
- Up to 6 months of historical credit scores are automatically populated after enrollment.
- Your AI Advisor has access to 12 months of score history to provide deeper insights and more personalized recommendations.
- It may take 1–2 days after enrolling for your historical score graph to finish populating. During this time, you’ll see a message letting you know we’re still retrieving your history.
AI Advisor Integration
You can now ask questions about your credit directly from the Credit Score page.
Examples:
- “Why did my score drop?”
- “What should I focus on to improve?”
- “What changed recently?”
The AI Advisor uses your credit report, score factors, alerts, and score history to provide personalized, actionable recommendations based on your unique credit profile.
Credit Alerts
The Credit Alerts section provides a chronological log of events that may impact your credit score, including:
- New accounts opened
- Hard inquiries
- Balance changes
- Derogatory marks
Unlike your credit score, which updates monthly, credit alerts update daily, helping you stay informed about important changes as soon as they happen.
Clearer Score Factors
All six key credit factors are displayed directly on the main Credit Score page:
- Payment History
- Credit Card Use
- Derogatory Marks
- Credit Age
- Total Accounts
- Hard Inquiries
Each factor includes:
- A status indicator
- An impact level
- Personalized context explaining how it affects your score
- Actionable recommendations to help improve your credit
This makes it easier to understand not only your current score, but what’s driving it and where you can make the biggest improvements.
Download Your Equifax Credit Report
You can download your full Equifax credit report directly from the Credit Score page whenever you need it.
This gives you access to the detailed information behind your credit score without leaving Origin.
Why Did My Credit Score Change?
If you’ve recently re-enrolled, you may notice that your credit score is different than what you previously saw.
This is expected. Origin now uses Equifax as its credit bureau, and different credit bureaus—as well as different reporting dates—can produce slightly different, but equally valid, credit scores.
If you have questions about your credit score or report, simply ask the AI Advisor directly from the Credit Score page for personalized guidance.
