It’s normal for the credit score you see in Origin to differ from a score you see through another app, financial institution, or lender.
Origin displays your VantageScore® 3.0 credit score using credit information provided by Equifax.
Why can credit scores be different?
There isn’t just one credit score. Your score can vary depending on several factors, including:
- Credit scoring model: Different services may use different scoring models, such as VantageScore or FICO.
- Credit bureau: Scores may be calculated using information from Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. The information available at each bureau can differ.
- Timing: Creditors report account information at different times, so one service may have more recent information than another.
- Score version: Different versions of the same scoring model can also produce different scores.
Because of these differences, the score you see in Origin may not exactly match a score you see elsewhere.
What credit score does Origin use?
Origin displays the VantageScore® 3.0 credit score based on information from your Equifax credit file.
The score shown in Origin is intended to help you monitor and understand your credit. A lender may use a different bureau, scoring model, or version when evaluating a credit application.
