AI Advisor Disclaimers and Limitations

AI Advisor is a powerful tool designed to help you understand your finances, explore financial decisions, and receive personalized guidance based on your financial picture.

AI Advisor can both respond to questions you ask and proactively surface insights and Actions based on information available in Origin.

While it's designed to provide smart, personalized recommendations, there are a few important limitations and disclaimers to understand.

Not a human advisor

AI Advisor is trained to mimic the logic and reasoning of a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP), but it is not a licensed financial advisor and cannot replace professional human guidance in complex or high-risk scenarios. 

You should always consider AI Advisor's suggestions—including proactive Actions—as part of your decision-making process, not a final answer. Additionally, the accuracy of AI Advisor’s personalized recommendations depends, in large part, on a user’s risk profile and connected accounts, so you are encouraged to keep these up to date to provide the most current picture of your financial life.

About the AI model

AI Advisor is not a single model. It uses a heterogeneous ensemble of large language models (LLMs). 

Our proprietary, fine-tuned system:

• Consistently scores over 95% on simulated mock CFP exams
• Is trained specifically on financial planning logic and real-world modeling scenarios
• Operates securely within Origin's private architecture

Despite its strong performance, AI Advisor is still AI. It uses probability and logic, not personal judgment. LLMs are often non-deterministic, meaning they can produce different, though compliant,  answers to the same question.

Guidance is only as personalized as your financial information

AI Advisor uses the financial information available in Origin to personalize its guidance.

Connecting your accounts and completing your Risk Profile gives AI Advisor additional context to:

• Analyze your financial picture
• Personalize responses and recommendations
• Align relevant guidance with your comfort level and goals
• Surface Actions based on your financial situation

Without complete information, guidance may be more general or may not reflect parts of your financial life that aren't available in Origin.

Financial Health Score and Actions

Your Financial Health Score and Actions are designed to help you understand your financial picture and identify areas that may deserve your attention.

They should be used as informational tools and do not guarantee financial outcomes. Your circumstances are unique, and an Action surfaced by AI Advisor may not account for information that hasn't been provided to or isn't available in Origin.
