You can archive spending categories to declutter your dropdown menus and make it easier to access the categories you actually use.
How to Archive a Category
Open the app and go to Manage Spending Categories.
Find the category you want to archive.
Click Archive next to that category.
Archived categories:
Won’t appear in your dropdown selectors
Won’t delete the category or affect any transactions already assigned to it
Tip: Archiving is meant to clean up your selectors, not remove categories from reports or historical views.
Why Do Archived Categories Still Show Up in Breakdown & Budget?
By default, the app hides categories that aren’t being used in the Breakdown & Budget view. When you click “Show all,” it displays every category, including archived ones, because the view is already decluttered by default. The main goal of archiving is to remove unused categories from your dropdown selectors, not to hide them from reporting entirely.
