How do I Edit Default Spending Categories?

You can now customize the default spending categories in Origin to better fit your financial life. This includes editing the name, icon, and color of each category.

For example, if the default category “Childcare & Education” doesn’t fully apply to you, you can rename it to just “Education.”
 

How to Customize Your Categories

1. Open the app and go to Manage Spending Categories.

2. Find the category you want to personalize.

3. Click Edit next to the category.

4. Update the name, icon, and/or color as desired.

5. Save your changes.

Your customizations will now appear throughout the app, helping you track spending in a way that makes sense for you.
