When you connect your financial institution to Origin, you may want to control which accounts are shared. The options available can vary depending on the combination of aggregator and institution you’re using. Here’s how it works and what to try if you can’t choose the accounts you want.
1. Check account selection during the connection process
Some aggregator/institution combinations will let you choose which accounts to share during the initial connection flow. If you see this option, simply select or deselect the accounts before completing the connection.
2. Try a different aggregator (if available)
If you don’t see account selection during the connection flow, and your institution supports multiple aggregators in Origin, try connecting through each one. Different aggregators may provide different account selection options.
3. Manage sharing in your bank’s online settings
If none of the aggregators offer account selection during connection, sign in directly to your institution’s online banking site or app.
Navigate to your Settings or Security/Privacy section.
Look for a “Third-Party Data Sharing” or “Connected Apps” page.
See if you can select or deselect which accounts are shared with Origin (or the aggregator).
4. Hide accounts in Origin as a last step
If neither the aggregator nor your bank allows account-level selection, you can still hide accounts from appearing in your Origin net worth:
Go to your Net Worth page in Origin.
Locate the account you want to hide.
Use the “Hide” option to remove it from your view and calculations (this won’t disconnect the institution).
