Origin offers an optional paid Expert Assistance tier for tax filing through April for $189. This add-on gives you the ability to ask final questions to a certified tax professional before you submit your return.
It’s important to note that Expert Assistance is not a full professional review of your entire tax filing. Instead, it provides a dedicated session at the end of your filing process where you can clarify items, get guidance, and ensure you feel confident before pressing submit.
Because the Expert session occurs at the end of the workflow, users must select and purchase the Expert Assistance tier before beginning their return.
What’s included:
- A dedicated conversation with a credentialed certified Tax Pro via phone or over email
- Expert guidance on 2 selected topics that you will choose at the end of the return, but before you submit
- Guidance and explanations before final submission
What’s not included:
- A full professional review of your complete filing
- Ongoing consultation throughout the filing process
- Tax preparation services performed on your behalf
