Getting started with forecasting

Getting started with Origin’s Forecasting tool is super simple!

1. Navigate to the Forecast Tab: From your Origin dashboard, click "Forecast” on left main menu
2. Review Assumptions: Start with our default settings, including 3% inflation and real estate growth at 5%. You can customize these anytime.
3. Add Life Events: Use our simple forms to input key events:
   • Retirement
   • Home purchase/sale
   • Having children
   • College planning
   • Windfalls
   • Custom income/expense events
4. Review Your Results: You'll see projections of your net worth and cash flow, as well as your forecast success rate based on thousands of simulations.
