Short answer:

How Origin investment accounts work
All Origin investment accounts are brokerage accounts, but they are set up as separate account types to support different strategies:
- Cash Account – Cash management and the funding hub Auto-Invest – Automated, long-term investing
- Stock Bundles – Curated or custom themed portfolios
Because of this structure, each account has its own funding rules.
Stock Bundles (supported)
Deposits
Funds must first be added to your Origin Cash Account Once available, you can invest directly into Stock Bundles using your Cash balance
Withdrawals
To withdraw funds, you’ll first need to sell your Stock Bundle Sale proceeds are automatically credited back to your Cash Account
How to invest in Stock Bundles
Add funds to your Origin Cash Account (ACH deposits typically clear in 3–5 business days) Go to Brokerage → Stock Bundles Choose a curated bundle or create your own Click Invest to use your Cash balance
Auto-Invest (not supported yet)
At this time, Auto-Invest accounts cannot be funded directly from your Cash Account. To fund Auto-Invest, you’ll need to initiate a deposit from your linked external bank account.
We know many members would like a direct Cash → Auto-Invest transfer, and this feedback has been shared with our product team for future consideration.
