How do I set up my budget?

Origin gives you multiple ways to create a personalized budget based on how hands-on you want to be.

Create a budget with AI Advisor

You can ask AI Advisor to build your budget directly from chat.

Simply open AI Advisor and ask something like “Create a budget for me.”

AI Advisor will review your financial information and recommend:

• Monthly income
• A savings target
• Spending limits for each category

Once the recommendation is ready, select Create with AI to save the suggested budget directly to Origin.

Use the AI Budget Builder

You can also create a personalized budget from the Budget tab:

1. Select Budget from the main navigation.
2. Choose the AI Budget Builder.
3. Follow the prompts to create your personalized budget.

The AI Budget Builder uses your historical spending and cash flow to recommend a budget based on your financial patterns.

Prefer to choose your own numbers?

Select Create my own to enter your income, savings goals, and category limits yourself.

Customize your budget

Once your budget is created, you can personalize it by:

• Adding or removing categories
• Adjusting category targets
• Enabling rollover for eligible categories
• Updating transaction categories
• Adjusting your savings target

You can also classify spending categories as Fixed, Flexible, or Discretionary to better understand where you have room to adjust your spending.

Need to update your budget later?

You can make changes manually from your Budget page or ask AI Advisor to recalculate or update your budget for you.
